Carrhotus xanthogramma ist in ganz Europa verbreitet. In Deutschland kommt sie eher im Süden und Südwesten bis zur Mainlinie vor, ist relativ selten und wird in der Roten Liste als gefährdet eingestuft. Man findet sie hauptsächlich im Gebüsch, und auf besonnten Blättern und Zweigen von Laubbäumen.
